We’re continuing our Grand Alaska RV Adventure, and today we’re checking a HUGE bucket-list experience off our list — flying over Mt. McKinley (Denali) and LANDING ON A GLACIER! 😱❄️
In today’s video, we made our way to Talkeetna, Alaska, where we boarded a flight with Talkeetna Air Service for an unforgettable flightseeing adventure into the heart of the Alaska Range. The views were absolutely incredible as we flew through the valleys and over the massive glaciers surrounding Denali National Park. We had spectacular views of Mt. McKinley (Denali) and the surrounding mountains before something happened that made this experience truly unforgettable… We landed on a glacier at the foot of Mt. McKinley! Standing on a glacier surrounded by the Alaska Range was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives.
This was definitely one of the highlights of our entire Alaska RV trip — and an experience we will never forget.
After our flight, we headed back into Talkeetna to explore this quirky and historic Alaska town. We grabbed dinner and a drink at Denali Brewing Company and then tried something we had heard all about — the famous Talkeetna spinach bread! And yes… it was GREAT! 😋
